GET INVOLVED!

Redwing Blackbird Theater always has something to participate in! You can be in a show, try a workshop, or join a protest. Check out our calendar to see what's happening soon!

Current projects

We are currently working with the A.J. Williams-Myers African Roots Center in Kingston, NY. This amazing space is creating a much needed community center, library, and camp for local children. To find out more, click here!

Employment

We are currently looking for collaborators and interns! In these times, when the world is going to hell in a handbasket, it is essential to make art, together. We believe in sustenance for artists, so while we cannot currently offer salaried positions, we work hard to provide housing and/or communal meals in exchange. We would love to work with puppeteers, activists, builders, gardeners, musicians, restorative justice advocates/returning citizens, visual artists, community leaders & displaced people. If you would like to work with us in the future, please contact Amy Trompetter at amy.trompetter@gmail.com with the subject line "INTERNSHIP: [your name]!

Volunteer

Redwing Blackbird Theater helps to create change, stage protests, and participate in parades all over the Hudson Valley. If you would like to get involved with our community of activists, please contact us! We can't wait to meet you!

donate

We make most of our art from recycled materials and work hard to provide free and joyous art for our community! Like most small theaters, we run on a shoe string budget. So any donation you make will go so far!

Your contribution will allow us to:

  • Continue providing free camp hours for local children at the A.J. Williams-Myers African Roots Center
  • Hosting puppet making workshops and performances in Rosendale and local communities
  • Create puppets, banners, and signs for local Citizen Action Marches
